Did you know that I love dessert? I get my love of dessert from my Mom. Sometimes we pick what restaurant to eat at based on what desserts they have. When I was younger our neighbor introduced us to one of my favorite desserts of all time. This easy heath bar cake recipe that I’m going to share with you is perfect for any party or just because.

What You’ll Need:

♥ 1 Box of Devils Food Cake Mix – I prefer to use Pillsbury but any type of Devils Food cake mix will be fine.

♥ 3 Eggs

♥ 1/2 cup vegetable oil

♥ 1 1/4 cup water

♥ 1 can sweetened condensed milk – I like to use the Eagle brand

♥ 1 can caramel sauce

♥ 1 container of cool whip

♥ 1-2 crushed Heath bars

The first thing you need to do is bake the cake. While the cake is baking it is a great time to chop the heath bars. I use a food processor to chop the bars into bits but you can also but the bars in a bag and use a hammer or another hard object to crush them. Once the cake is out of the oven start poking holes all over. I used my cake tester to do that but a toothpick works great too. Why are you putting holes in the cake? So that when you pour the sweetened condensed milk and caramel on top is will soak into the cake.

I like to mix the sweetened condensed milk with the caramel before I pour it over the cake.

Once you pour the mixture on top of the cake let it cool down before adding the cool whip to the top.

After you add the cool whip sprinkle the heath bar crumbles on top of the cake. I recommend leaving the cake in the refrigerator for the night before eating the cake so that it tastes even better. Warning, this cake will go fast because people love it so much. I have never given a slice of this cake to someone who did not like it.
